Ostomates are more than just their stomas. They are real people with real lives who face the challenges that we all face, in addition to the challenges related to living with an ostomy. This year’s theme, "Empowering Ostomates Worldwide to Be Comfortable," focuses on fostering confidence and connection. By sharing our experiences and supporting one another, we can build a world where ostomates feel inspired, empowered, and comfortable in their own skin.

About World Ostomy Day
World Ostomy Day is celebrated every three years and brings together ostomates, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and supporters from around the globe. This day aims to:
- Increase public awareness of ostomies and break the stigma surrounding them
- Educate the public and healthcare professionals about life with an ostomy
- Advocate for better healthcare services and products for ostomates
- Celebrate the resilience and achievements of those living with an ostomy
